I'm pagan, and when talking about the higher powers, I have taken up adding an extra D at the end of God(d). Meaning god or goddess. When speaking in the third person, I will often say they, as I believe in more than one aspect of the greater power (and I have a real hard time calling god a he or a she since that gives you the idea that one is better than the other).

A pronoun takes the place of a noun. A noun is a person, place or thing. Since God doesn't exist, he is neither a person, place or thing. Therefore, there is no pronoun appropriate for describing the nothing that so many people waste time worshipping.

This is highly subjective and personal, as it depends on how these different pronouns affect the reader/writer/student..."It" has negative connotations for many, but I don't mind it; I don't use "She" only because God has no gender, and yet has aspects of both, at least in our terms.

You would expect the all wise God to be able to chose an appropriate pronoun for himself, wouldn't you?

In the Bible God uses the pronoun, he.

The scriptures show that God has a "wife;" it is his heavenly organization of angels, that in the end produced the "seed" Christ Jesus.

Therefore it is doubly appropriate to call God He.

It depends which god is being referred to. There have been both male and female gods amongst the many that have been invented over the centuries. I tend to use the term "it" mainly in regards to the Christian God, although i might refer to it as "He" or "She " now and again. Doesn't really make much difference as they are all inventions of man anyway.

just call the Divinity..he or she are too personal and allude to Gods gender too much when noone actually can prove whether God is he or she..it-too much suggesting to a 'thing', not smth really alive or existing..they is not good cause God is One personality, though his person consists of 3-father,son and a spirit..

"He" works because of the language history of using the male gender to describe "him".

If we are all a version of God's image, then God has male & female qualities. It is difficult to use our 2 dimensional minds to describe a multi-dimensional being.

He. His position command, the Supreme controller, Supreme enjoyer, and the Supreme creator. She means, controlled and enjoyed, so we are "she" and God is He. Because we are created for His enjoyment, for increasing His happiness.
