I'm in a bit of a predicament here! I wear my glasses for VDU use, tv andcinema etc. I don't wear them when I'm outside in the fresh air or if I'm in a pub having a few beers.
I've an eyetest tomorrow at 12.30pm during my lunchhour. Before that, I'll be at work so will have my glasses on. Should I take my own glasses off prior to attending the optician for an hour or so or should I continue wearing them until I arrive at the surgery? The reason I'm asking was the last time it took the optician 3 attempts (Yes you Vision Express) before I was given lenses that worked!!
Any help would be much appreciated.

Don't use Vision Express! You should see a qualified optician/ ophthalmologist. If you normally wear contact lenses then yes, wear them when you go. If only glasses, then it doesn't matter either way. The three-attempts was nothing to do with anything you did.

Whether you wear your glasses or not before the test will have no possible effect on the test!

You should bring your glasses with you to the eye test however.

When you go for an eyetest you should be doing your usual routine with your glasses. You need to have them with you at the appointment so they can be checked.

If you don't wear them permantley, don't wear them to go to the eye test but do take them with you. If in the eye test they give you a lense to look through and you cant see through it, be honest and speak up. If you cant see though it, you have to say.

Wearing your glasses should make no difference - it's wearing contacts you need to check on, depending on which specific test they will be doing.

well if you only use the glasses for reading/tv/paper/pc etc, then you shouldn't have them on anyway should you? you will be away from work, so if you don't normally wear them ALL the time, then just wear them as normal at work , then take them off when you leave,
