He was born and raised Roman Catholic, but as an adult he was interested in the occult and mysticism. As leader of the Nazi Party he went out of his way to control and subvert the Catholic Church and persecute Protestants.
He was clearly insane and all Christians would denounce his crimes. Jesus said love thy neighbour and turn the other cheek after all.

Hitler was born to Roman Catholic parents which didn't necessarily make him a practicing Christian. His violence and anti semitic ways were influenced by writing of Lanz von Liebenfels and Karl Leuger both anti semitics.
As with ALL racists and hate groups they tried to justify their hideous mentality with religion.
NO, Christianity does NOT condone the willful premeditated murder of anyone and definitely not the insidious murder of over six million innocent people.
Anti Christians love using Hitler as an example which doesn't fly. If Jesus was alive in the flesh during Hitler's time, Hitler would have tried to incinerate Christ too. NO, Hitler was not a Christian!

Do we condone what he preached? Well, a large group of Christians from the United States, England, France, and many others countries, slam dunked him, so what do you think? Many German, French, and Polish Jews fled to the United States to be where they could be safe, with, wouldn't you know it, Christians.
As far as Hitler being a Christian, yes, he claimed to be. Not that he actually was. He claimed to be many things. He was into the occult. Astrology. Basically he was insane to say the least. And he was driven by forces that I do not think will ever be completely known to us. But let me say one more thing as to this: Saddam Hussein claimed to be a Sunni Muslim and in his own mind he was. But as with the terrorists who claim to be Muslims, they do not represent what Islam is all about.
All mean and vicious people use religion, race, culture, the education system, and anything else they can to subvert others into going along with them. Many of the Barbarians that over-ran Europe numerous times claimed that God was on their side, even though they started the violence. Power and control is what drove Hitler, Saddam, Tojo, the Roman emperors, the Celts and even Genghis Khan claimed that a higher power was on his side.

He gave no indication of being a Christian. Christianity does NOT condone the violence he promoted.
The violence that God called for in Bible times was intended to eradicate unrepentant evil. Hitler promoted genocide, the destruction of an entire race, because of his belief that the Germans were the master race. Racism of that nature is certainly not Biblical.

Hitler's parents were Catholic, but religion is not in the DNA. He extensively used astrologers, professed belief in Norse mythology and other pagan mysticism and also said he was a Christian.
No Christian professes all those things. It is oxymoronic. So, no, Hitler was no Christian. Christianity does not condone Hitler's views and actions. They are abhorrent to a Christian.

I believe he claimed to be Christian, but if we were to judge his actions they'd definately be that of a non-Christian.
Like many leaders, they claim to be Christian because it serves their political interests to do so.
Oh, and no, we do not condone his violence. I've wondered in the past if God had a special level of hell for people like Hitler who deliberately attacked God's chosen people.
