What kind of helmet does The Stig wear in the show Top Gear?

I've only ever seen him wear a white driving helmet with the letters "QPR" or "OPR" I can't clearly see it.

Whatever it is, it's awesome. But then again it probably isn't even a helmet. It's probably a big cluster of wires and processesors in a case that looks like a helmet.
