which is more important to you, the money or the comfort of the situation. Also take into account the possibility of advancement, and job security. How safe is this other job? Are you likely to get fired? Are the benefits just as good or better?
How much stress will be involved?
Weigh the pros and cons and then follow what your heart tells you.
Good luck.

First of all, consider the job security at the new offer. Yes the money sounds great but will the job still BE there in a year or two?
How long have you been at your other job? Do you see the same potential at your current job as is being offered to you at the new one?
And third, if the new offer comes from a strong company, then take it! I grew up with a family of professionals and they were often joking about how if you offered someone a choice between a TITLE and same salary *OR* More money but NO Title, people invariably chose the title! and of course that right there made their respect in the eyes of those over them drop one hundred percent! Because the fact is we work for MONEY and money certainly is better than an empty title any day.

I would do a little research over the net if possible about the company making you this new offer, and assuming it is in the same town or general area, I f I was satisfied the new offer was bona fide and gave me security, I would grab it in a heart beat!

I say, change jobs.

Your CV will always show all the great experience and qualifications and training that you have gained in your previous job.
A lower 'respected' role means you will have less responsibility (I presume) and therefore a less-stressed job, with extra pay. Your future colleagues will soon find out about your previous experience and will respect that, although they'll ask why you moved down instead of up.
So long as you have a good reason for moving down, remembering that at the end of the day you want to move *up* to get a pay rise, this would be a good decision to make.

One should change jobs for career enhancement & not money.Do you like/love doing what you do ? Are u good at what you do ? Do u leave office most days with a sense of achievement, if yes then don't bother about the money, it will follow if u have a great career ahead of you.
