The label will give you the percentage. To get the "proof", double the percentage amount (ie; 40%=80 proof).

It depends on the liqueur. If the bottle says 100 proof, then it is 50% alcohol, 80 proof would be 40% alcohol and so on.

Liqueurs are usually high in alcohol content and can range from 49 to 110 proof.

Most liqueurs are flavored and do not contain a high precentage of alcohol. My bottle of Amaretto is 21%. There is a difference between liqueurs and liquors.
