Many Greek people don't like the the Turkish, and vice versa but this doesn't mean they are all racist!!! My husband is Greek and isn't this way, it all depends on their upbringing, as in any culture.

As for the loudness, i think Greeks are naturally loud people in the way they speak and pretty much everything else, they just like to express themselves!!

You can't generalise Greek people just as you can't generalise any other race as being racist, there is good and bad everywhere. Your neighbour doesn't sound very nice though, just steer clear of him.

I know from experience, all Greeks are like that, I am an aussie, but there are Greeks on my father's side and now my daughter married a Greek. They are all troublemakers, they all think they just great and better than everyone else, that is why they are so load, they have to be noticed by everyone. Even if you try to marry into a Greek family they won't even like you if you come from a different part of Greece. They look down to everyone else, especially if you are Australian. I can't stand them and that is even the ones I am related to. I f you saw the movie "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" it should not have been a comedy, because it is a serious problems and not funny at all and they just cause a lot of heartache and pain and best to not befiend them.

I am very close to many Greek people. I attend at least 3 Greek festivals each summer. The thing about most of the Greek folks I know is that they *love* controversy. For some reason, a good argument is all they need to make their day. I also know that once the argument is over, they are quick to apologize, and very seldom hold grudges. If the Greek people were a TV station, they would be TNT. "We know drama"

There's a lot of bad feeling between the Greeks and the Turks, particularly over Cyprus. Perhaps you should research this.

People from all over the world have predjudice. It slices through every society. All he heard was turk, nothing else mattered at that point. Kind of like some Americans and their views on middle easterners.
