The only way to become more fair is to lesson the time your skin is in contact with the sun. I am usually a fair brown, after being away from the sun, I get lighter. But I can also get very, very dark if I'm in the sun a lot. People do get lighter skin with age a lot of times because they aren't spending as much time in the sun... I live near the beach, so even with sunscreen, I still get dark every summer. =). So if you want to be more fair, don't go outdoors as much & if you do--cover up! If you go swimming, wear a long sleeve rash guard or swimsuit. And if you do have to go into the sun, wear SUNBLOCK (not sunscreen). A sunblock will block ALL rays and is stronger protection against the sun (especially if you want to be on track for becoming fairer).

slip, slop and slap. old ozzie rule. SLIP (on a shirt) Slop (on sun screen) and SLAP (on a hat). see? just cover up and use sun screen. you'll be fair again in no time. I live in South Africa where the sun's also really harsh, and I'm fair. If im in the sun I go brown, but after a few weeks of sun screen im back to being fair. But you have to be consistent. Why do you want to be fair tho? a tan (but not overboard) looks healthy

Stay out of the sun for a number of years, the pigment should eventually return to "normal".
