Ive never met a bigger idiot than USMC Wife. For a start she says I need to make more 'sence in my poastings' ....... (irony anyone).

And your belief system is all wrong. The fact I live like I do has nothing to do with Veterans, so get off your high horse lady.

Go back to school and learn how to write a sentence. Your question fails to make any sense.

I find it funny that you speak of humiliation and yet you get your jollies off by attacking a women on your question. American soldiers got the short end of the stick. They were blind sided by the US govt and the whole situation.

You say that you can live like you do and it has nothing to do with vets?! I beg to differ. If it were not for the military England would have control. The Spaniards would have control. African Americans would still be slaves etc. Coming forward in years. Have you heard of Pearl Harbor?! That was attack on US soil that would not have stopped there if it were not for our soldiers. So when you say that your freedoms have nothing to do with vets you are totally delusional. OH! yeah the First President was a soldier. There is not a country on this earth that would be where they are today if it were not for their military. The only reason you have the ability to think the way you do is because of men and women like USMC WIFE's husband.

Good for you to be able to speak your mind, but shame on you for attacking someone who has their whole world wrapped up in the very thing you speak of.

We do have an effective armed services... They have been poorly deployed, poorly used and thrown into an invasion of another country; surrounded by guerilla resistance and terror by a president that just keeps throwing them at the cannons.

No matter how glorious the army, you can't fight an enemy you can't find or recognize. The guerillas and insurgents dress like the general population, stay in private homes, stash weapons in hospitals and schools. You can't fight or win a war without a recognizable enemy.

Put paid?

The us forces did the job they were trained to do in a short period. America just left them there to try to babysit a whole country of backward, violent people. The only reason they didn't kill each other off before we got there is that they had an iron fisted dictator in Saddam keeping them all apart.

We really ought to have picked up and gone home after we neutralized Saddam and let them battle it out amongst themselves. ..........It's what they do best.

Which humiliation is that? Are you referring to the one that you hear about on the biased nightly news. There isnt a military in the world that has the ability or tenacity to deploy anywhere in the world within 24 hours. The murder rate in Washington DC is higher than the death rate of American GIs in Iraq. That means you are more likely as an American to get shot in the nations capital than you are as a soldier in Iraq.

Are you saying that American troops are a "glorious army?"..

The Oxford dictionary states -
Glorious - a - possessing or confirring glory, splendid, excellent, illustrious.
Glory - n - adoring praise, halo of a saint, special distinction.

Hmmm I have serious doubts as to the adjective you have chosen based on the FACTS -

With regards to "this Iraq business" as you so quaintly term it, that was nothing but an illegal invasion of another Sovereign country by that "glorious army" as, once again you so quaintly term them !!

This "Iraq Business" is a sectarian war

SIMPLE AS.

The British troops have had over 35 years experience of dealing with sectarianism, but the "glorious army" REFUSE to heed any advice given them on how best to deal with sectarianism, and just continue adding fuel to the fire by simply being there.

In the meantime, troops continue to return home in bodybags, brought about by the arrogance of this so called "glorious army"

Simple as.

Check the facts, memorise them, then ask a different question..

When did the American army ever have a good rep? Even in the world war, the recruits were just considered 'fresh' rather than anything else and their myth of power stemmed from the nuclear bomb. The efficiency of the men has never been a factor in their assessment.

If we went in an slaughtered everyone, we would have all been home in 2 weeks, No we gotta be the gOOD gUYS AND not kill everyone. we cannot shoot unless shot at. We have to account for every bullet, We cannot use 50 caliber machine guns, we have more rules against using force than plans to use it. We restrain ourselves like no other force in History.

I think Sunni and the Shiites pay a major role. Here's a clue, if you want to be taken seriously try some objectivity. Otherwise what you post isn't worth reading.
