playing volley-ball in his backyard and not long afterwards the ball was in your backyard. He then wanted you to go out from your kitchen to give the ball back. Would you think he's trying to get your attention? Or it happens always to you? You think it's just normal?

catvicio, I did tell him to get it himself, I didn't go out. Thank you for answering.

wbaker77, yes he was naked playing volleyball, the upper-half though!

Devilish, I don't know how much this neighbour younger than me but he looks much older than me and he did ask me over to get drunk some time later. Yes I've got way too much time in my hands. I asked this question only to see how many people are smart enough to see how things will develop from the first small beginnings.

My apologies to all answerers!!

If it happens too many times then it doesn't seem normal; as in accidental. It's then you can tell he's definitely trying for your attention. Maybe even something more. Depending how you feel about this charade it's up to you how you want to handle it.

That does not, in any way, sound like a come-on. They just wanted the ball back!! Don't let your imagination get away from you.

Sounds to me like somebody's got way too much free time on their hands.

How much younger/older is your neighbor compared to yourself?

Good luck with your crush!

P.S. Getting your attention in order to claim his balls back sounds pretty normal to me, can't you see it?

Is there a fence or somthing preventing him from getting it. Is he trying to get you involved in some fun? Sounds like we don't have the whole story to give you a good answer.

I wouldn't read too much into what he says, it seems like a normal request to me. Do you have a vicious dog he's afraid of?

Yes, that's normal; stop looking for problems where none exist.
