here is one:
INGREDIENTS
4 tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped pecans
4 bananas, sliced
1 (18.25 ounce) package banana cake mix
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour 2 (8 inch) pans. Combine butter and brown sugar, divide and spread evenly between the 2 pans. Sprinkle pecans evenly over both brown sugar mixtures, arrange banana slices evenly over each.
Prepare cake mix according to package instructions. Divide batter into the 2 pans.
Bake in the preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Turn cakes upside down on a platter or plate, gently tap bottom and carefully remove pans, replacing caramel mixture that sticks to pan.
Here is another:
Prep: 15 min.
Bake: 25 min.
Makes: 8 servings
3 tablespoons flaked coconut
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons dark rum
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 BANANAS
1/4 cup sugar
4 eggs
3/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup all-purpose flour
MELT butter and toast coconut in 10-inch ovenproof skillet 3 to 4 minutes over medium heat, or until fragrant and lightly browned.
CUT bananas into lengthwise quarters and slice into small dice. Add rum, nutmeg, diced bananas, and 1/4 cup sugar to coconut and cook until bananas become soft, 2 to 3 minutes. Set aside.
WITH wire whisk attachment on electric mixer, beat eggs with 3/4 cup sugar five to six minutes or until light and lemon colored. Add vanilla. Incorporate baking powder with the flour and fold into egg mixture, half at a time.
TOP cooked banana mixture with cake batter. Bake at 350 degrees F 20 to 25 minutes or until cake becomes lightly browned and springs back to the touch. Remove, invert onto plate and cool.

I think this is the one you’re looking for
Upside Down Banana Cake
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups sifted cake flour [see Baker’s note]
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup sugar
4 tablespoons softened shortening
1 egg, well-beaten
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
4 tablespoons butter
1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 bananas
Method
Heat oven to 350°.
Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Add shortening. Mix together egg, milk and vanilla. Add to flour mixture, stirring until all flour is dampened. Beat vigorously 1 minute.
Melt butter in 8-inch square pan. Add brown sugar and stir until melted and syrup formed. Peel and slice bananas and arrange in syrup.
Pour batter over bananas. Bake 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the middle of the cake comes out clean. Loosen cake from sides of pan with knife or spatula. Turn out onto serving plate. Serve hot, upside down with bananas on top.
Baker’s note:
No need to buy specialized flour, like cake flour, when it's easy to make your own.
Method
For every 3/4 cup of sifted all – purpose flour, add 2 tablespoons cornstarch.
Baker's Tip: Store your flour in a metal cansiter with a tight - fitting lid. Use a permanent marker to write the ratio of flour to cornstarch on the inside of the lid so you will always have it with the flour.

any cake like this would be similar to "bananas foster"
I have cooked the bananas in a stick-proof pan with butter, sugar and Khaluha[ coffee liquor]
It gives it a very rich taste... I think you will be pleased... and try adding some raisins too.
