Very unlikely as most STD are viral in nature and if the towels were exposed to sunlight or UV rays for more than 10 minutes than there is no worry - if the towles were kept in a dark, cool place and remained most there is a possiblity of bacterial infections that could be transfered, but again very unlikely - you do have to worry about respiratory infections from cooling systems - Legionaires disease and other virus love to live in stagnent water - and heating/cooling systems help to allow the virus and baterial through aerosol - small droplets of water which if breathed in significant quantities could cause sickness

chances are very very very low. the towel would have to be wet and get into your genitals. most hotels wash their sheets and towels with bleach its against the law to do otherwise, yes sometimes towels don't get washed properly but those diseases can't live out in the open air, they die

As long as there is no direct contact with body fluids, with your own body fluids, there is no chance of catching an STD.
The chances of catching warts from the shower/tub are not likely either.
