If you exercise self control so as not to sin in the Biblical sense there is no obstacle to you being a Christian.
I would suggest that you stop calling yourself gay; also, it might be beneficial to your mingling with other Christians if you didn't say it as strongly. Jesus showed that some in his time didn't have the need for sex and called them eunuchs. Maybe you could accept that appellation for yourself?
A great many people exist in the world with various problems in this regard. Some are born with both sex organs; clearly, some are born with the wrong orientation (so to say).
Just because a person is born with a defect does that make God reject them? Or is it a matter of behavior and heart condition? Until, God fixes the above problems, Christians must accept that the problem exists, but that in such cases extreme self control must be exercised.
The practice of condemned action/s is unacceptable to God and to the Christian congregation.

If you feel it's important to be a Christian, then choose your denomination carefully.
Nobody acts on all their desires and manages to live an ethical life, but could I suggest you do some independent thinking about exactly why, all other things being equal, choosing a sexual partner of one gender is inherently more evil than the other? For me, just because Paul and the authors of Leviticus had a particular view doesn't necessarily mean that view is right.
Good luck finding an ethic of living that makes sense to you.

1Corinthians 6:9 Don’t you know that evil people will not receive God’s kingdom? Don’t be fooled. Those who commit sexual sins will not receive the kingdom. Neither will those who worship statues of gods or commit adultery. Neither will men who are prostitutes or who commit homosexual acts. 10 Neither will thieves or those who always want more and more. Neither will those who are often drunk or tell lies or cheat. People who live like that will not receive God’s kingdom. 11 SOME OF YOU USED TO DO THOSE THINGS. But your sins were washed away. You were made holy. You were made right with God. All of that was done in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
SOME OF YOU USED TO DO THOSE THINGS…

Who said I was judging you? Quit assuming that we all hate gay people!! So you have thoughts of other men-you say you don't act on them so how do you know for a fact you are gay? You also sound at least a little knowledgeable on the bible, so does it not say that being gay is not right? Does that not mean that you are a hypocritical christian then? Hmmm? A strong dilemma you seem to be in here! Good luck with your problems. And for the records, my mother-in-law is homosexual, and one of the best people I have ever had the fortune to meet and know!!

If you have a strong growing relationship with Jesus Christ approach him about your issue and seek guidance. As far as "why on earth would we choose an......" people are always wanting to be different. Just look at the hippies of the 70's. They wanted to stand out even if they took some criticism. There are always people wanting to go against the norm, or whatever even if it means adversity. They just rationalize the adversity as affirmation that what they are doing is right.

Yes, you can still be a Christian.
I consider you to be my brother, I'm not going to ostracize you for your sexual orientation. I believe that people don't choose which sin they're predisposed towards. I, for example, am a liar, and a thief. However, I choose not to lie or steal.
You and I are the same, in choosing NOT to sin.
I can do everything through him [Christ] who gives me strength.

I don't believe that people are born gay.
But I don't hate gay people.
I want a straight partner, but I can be friends with gay people.
I don't bother them unless they bother me.
Where do you get all that hate from, anyway?
So far as being gay & saved, Bible says that if ye say in your heart that you are without sin, you lie & the truth is not in you.
For all have sinned etc. Numerous verses indicate even Christians sin. I see no reason why you can't be just as much sinner as they are.
Haha! aight, peace!

The word homosexual wasn't put in the Bible until 1946. Jesus never said don't be gay. I would say He has the final word on the subject. There are plenty of branches of the Church that don't accept homosexuality, so you should probably avoid those. You might want to contact the Metropolitan Community Church. They accept everybody, just like Jesus did. Most of their pastors are gay.

We are all God's creation. He gives us freedom to choose. You choose to be a Christian or accepted Jesus Christ in your life. Without Jesus very hard to live a life you have chosen. You need His blessings and guidance.
Bachelors male/female chose to abstain from sex outside marriage. You can also abstain from sex with men. Continue worshiping God and I really believe you will receive miracle, especially if you ask for it. I've met homoxeuals got married and have children. Whatever you ask in Jesus name will be granted.

Most people are going to disagree with me, but of course you can be, my Son. God Loves You. there are 6 admonitions against homosexuality in the Bible and over 300 against heterosexuality. God Loves ALL the children and He knew you before you were born. You just be a good person who is kind and God will take care of the rest. Blessings.
PS> Jesus said NOTHING against homosexuality. It was Paul who did and Paul disliked all forms of sex (but it was better to be married than to burn).
