Or how do you convert units from pF/inch to pF/metre.

I have a formula but it assumes unit to be in mils and inches, I need mm and the result to give me a capacitance per unit length (in metres).

Just scale the value based on the conversion between the lengths....If you can deal with striplines, you'd better be able to do that.
