1/ his study have to be no. 1 priority
2/ if his grades are good he gets reward points
so many points for phone calls...or saves up his points for a trip to visit her..
1A=50 points...phone call etc ... all As =500 points =trip you work out what you think is reasonable..if his grades used to be all Bs...then make B the benchmark
3/ if his grades falls no rewards..no phone no trips..
I used to have to show my report cards to mum and dad every term...and if I got the marks in the holidays they didnt dare say anything...I can go out every night etc....and I knew to play according to their rules...they get what they want I get what I want...:)

you are able to continuously be sued. The question is, does the lawsuit have any benefit. accordingly a courtroom gained't in person-friendly words seem at "purpose" to injure, yet as well negligence. If operating example the youngster that replaced into injured replaced into in simple terms status round minding his personal corporation, and your son did something like run headlong after a football, weighs 3 circumstances more advantageous than the different boy, and plowed him over with out looking the position he replaced into going, someone can make a case out for negligence. because this replaced into on a public college floor, the father and mom of the youngster will in all probability be going after the college, because it has deeper wallet.

Who is paying for these 3 - 4 hour telephone calls every night?? When does he find time to study??
He is still a minor and in HIGH SCHOOL.
Invite the clever, pschology major, girlfriend to YOUR home for a few days. Sounds as though she is attempting to be the controlling influence in his life.
You, on the other hand, are responsible for controlling your child, guiding him with decision making along with his care and education.
Charge her RENT.

He is seventeen, he must be able to think for him self.
As parents, you must give him the liberty but at the same time you must attach some conditions.
Explain that you are not stopping him from knowing that girl from Queensland but you are concern that he will neglect in his studies.
Offer him some kind of carrot, that if he keeps to his studies he can invite his girl friend over to NSW and that if he does very well, offer to pay for his trip to Queensland.
Hope that he listen but please do not use force or threats or you may loose him all together.
Good Luck

You aren't controlling you are just look out for your son like you are suppose to. If he wants to become a computer technician he has to understand that he needs good grades to do that. He shouln't be trying to see no one untill he's grades inprove. I know your son cares for her, but maybe them breaking up will be a good thing.

Your son is not a child and a high school senior, do not try to come between him and the young women or you may loose your son and he may do manmy things to spite you. Right now she has alot more influence and importance in his life than you think. Try to find a way to compromise and do not try to prevent him from seeing her.

why did you say no??
it would be better to set up an internet connection to allow them to see each other while they talk.
and let him visit her during the holidays. that's what holidays are for.
just remind him that he needs to finish school before going to live with her.
you can't shut down teenagers hormones. the best you can do is to nudge him in the right direction while he is still in your home.
