We had some new people move down the street a few months ago with children the same age as ours. We have socialized with them on several occassions. However, my husband and I started feeling some bad vibes from these people right away and decided to cut the socializing slowly so as not to make a scene. The husband made several inappropriate comments to me. Anyway, yesterday one of the neighborhood teens was visiting our daughter and commented that he was a pervert (she is 17). She told me that he made several sexual remarks to her even while his wife was there. She said the wife laughed it off. I told my girls not to go over there anymore. What is my responsibility as far as this other teen goes? She has not told her parents and asked me not to say anything.

Your responsibility is to tell the other girls parents. If you know the guy is making inappropriate comments to young girls then it is your job to help shut him down. How would you like it if someone made inappropriate comments to your daughter and no one told you?

No longer slowly break away ties, do it quickly and if necessary, give the reason.

If it were my daughter that was talked to in such a manner.
I would keep her from going over there and tell her to avoid that man at all costs.
You need to confront the man and his wife and let them know you will not accept that kind of behavior towards your daughter.
Hope this helps and Good luck.

You did the right thing about telling your girls not to go there anymore, they can still be friends with the kids, but not go over the house....as for the teenager that told you about this man, I would convince her to tell her parents, for her own safety.

im a teen, and as an honest remark as cruel as it may seem to not care but u should let ur daughter do what she wants

ive been through more **** than most teens, arrested, expelled, beaten up, abused, and rejected by friends

and my parents have never grounded me or anythign from all my stupid mistakes

but to be honest i have mutured into one of the most responsible kids in my grounp i dont drink or do any drugs, and im not going to have sex till marrige,

truth is that restricting your kids wont effect them bcuz true lessons in life are learned from the natural punishments you would get yourself
