Hi, congrats on your honeymoon. Whereabout in Thailand are you planning to be? The weather pattern will vary from the coast and islands to the central mainland and the mountainous north or north-east.
Typically, it will be the wet season still. The dry season starts from Nov. So you can expect wet spells and hot clime alternating wherever you may be in Thailand. In the coastal areas, the south=eastern corner will also be subjected to the monsoons in the South China Seas. So thunderstorms can be expected.
The high regions to the north will be slightly cooler, but not much. The humidity will be relatively high, so expect that.
Still overall, you should be able to enjoy yourselves wherever you may be in Thailand.

Sept is fine, good climate
In my opinion, It depends on where will you go in Thailand? Coz Sept in Southern part , or sea side, islands are ok, But if you would like to go northern part, I think Nov-Dec-Jan are ok.

i don't know where thunder is in Thailand, but where I am it's hot, humid and periods of rain, sometime lots of rain. But don't let the rain stop you from coming, it's only for shorts periods but maybe heavy sometime, so come and enjoy your honeymoon, it's cheap and beautiful here.
