Yes, I do use ground beef in my tacos, but when it comes down to the real authentic Mexican foods like burritos and tamales, I make carne asada.

Depends on what style of Mex. I grew very homesick for TexMex when I lived in Arizona where the influence was Sonorian Mex, the stripes of boiled beef. So, for hard-shell tacos, flavored ground beef with the veggies and the cheddar. When I'm in California, I tell them to leave off the chocolate. ;)

The kids like ground beef. I've not thought about roast beef. Next time I'll try that.

Ground beef. Everytime I've ordered tacos from a Mexican restaurant, they've been ground beef as well.

I actually prefer ground chicken or ground turkey. But if I use beef, I use it ground, not roast.
