I know someone who owns 2 and he said they don't shed or shed very little at certain times of the year. He also mentioned that he chose this particular breed of dog as they have less allergens than other dogs and are ideal pets for people who suffer from asthma and other respirartory/allergic illnesses. I would imagine all dogs shed at some point during the year as they have 2 types of coat - summer and winter.

Yes, but very minimally. All dogs shed. Usually the hair stays on the bichon until you brush it, or it rubs up against something like the couch. Shedding has nothing to do with allergies though so I hope that's not why you are asking.

Bichons shed very little, a few hairs here or there but thats it.. They do need to be brushed daily to keep their coat from matting. You should take your bichon to a groomer about every 4 months for clipping and have thier nails trimmed.

They do shed, its just the coat is so thick that the loose hair has trouble falling off the dog. If left or if you bath the dog before combing it out it will form a thick layer of felt and then you have to have the dog shaved.

yes they do shed. it stay in the coat till you brush it out. if it does not get brushed out it will become matted. so brush the coat at least once a week and take it to a groomer at least every 6 to 8 weeks. to be groomed

If it has hair, it sheds. Everything goes through seasons, even dog's hair. Good luck!!! DOGS RULE!!!

no they need haircuts every now and then, but i believe they are like poodles.
