Always go via a breed club to make sure you are buying from a reputable breeder who has carried out all the necessary health checks before breeding:

The Kennel Club's Puppy Sales Register is at http://www.thekennelclub.org.uk/item/384

Or you could contact the Secretary (Mrs B Dickinson) of the Northern and Midland Bichon Frise Club on 01204 430328

Hi, the Kennel Club has a Puppy Sales Register on their site (all contact details are free) - fingers crossed that there is a breeder with puppies near Stoke on Trent:

Another good site to try for KC Registered puppies is the Champdogs site. Though there are no puppies listed at the moment, there is a list of breeders & you may find one near to you that you like the sound of & they may have puppies due in the near future:
http://www.champdogs.co.uk/guided/all_bichon-frise.html
(There's also a list of clubs on this site if you wish to look for a recommended breeder - though the KC site does offer a similar sort of thing)

If you're not too concerned about the puppy being registered or even a pure-bred - then you should find more puppies listed for sale on these two sites - both are searchable by area - though you'll have to register to get contact details on ePupz (free for ads over five days, one off £4.99 to get contact details of current ad) Look for a puppy reared in a home & make sure that you see that their mum is in good health:

Good luck - hope you find a perfect little furball

You need to contact the Kennel Club, they have a puppy register and you can be pretty sure of getting a good healthy puppy because puppies of inferior quality aren't usually registered. Good luck in your search.
