Who’s in charge?

YOU ARE!

You choose what you eat, you choose what you do
for activities, you choose who will be on your support
team; and through these choices...
you choose your health and your weight.

Just remember that when you go to reach for an unhealthy snack.

I have the same problem, I I think the best way to deal with it is to try not to keep it at home. If you don't have much control on it being around you then perhaps you could try and set a limit on how much you allow yourself, so you can still have a bit but not go over the top. If I feel like eating, I sometimes reach for the computer and go on the internet, as then my hands our busy typing! It normally works!. I also keep a picture near by of when I was at my heaviest weight and one of when I was at my lightest, then when I reach for the junk food I take one look and my hand comes back! Good luck I hope it all goes well for you!

People are like that. Its just a sign that the mind is playing tricks on you into making you think that you're hungry but actually you are not. To stop the mind from doing this, you must eat a lot of healthy food to the fullest. I mean, during breakfast you must eat a lot, bring a snack along (pasta or macaronic will do great), during lunch you must have something packed, for afternoon snack (maybe some sandwiches or fast food), then finally dinner. During these intervals, you will not be tempted to eath until the next eating hour.

Dont buy this sort of food in any quantity. Allow yourself a small chocolate bar and a packet of crisps as your weekend treats but dont buy multipacks. Go shopping. go out with your friend, clean your room, keep yourself busy. Think about your slim self and the clothes you want to wear when you feel tempted. If all this fails and you still want to binge on junk see a food psychologist or hypnotherapist who can help you.

Drink a lot of water early in the day. You will probably feel full for a while and not want to eat anything. Also try to talk yourself out of it mentally. Think of the consequences, such as dental probelms in the future or thinking about running 5 miles just to get the calories off from that honey bun.

I know the feeling especially today. There is a cake stand at work in aid of Comic relief and I feel obliged to buy something.

Better got on my bike tonight!!

Seriously eat what you like at the weekend but make sure you balance this with more exercise.

i do the same, all week i am good and then the tandoori flyers come off the noticeboard in the kitchen at weekends, just try something either sweet or savoury, depending on what you prefer that is good for you and you know you will enjoy. so whilst everyone else is pigging out on crap you can be assured that what you are eating is good for you and you enjoy eating it. My fave is ryvita with low fat cheese spread or low fat strawberry yogurts, just find that alternative to junk food.

The problem for many people in your situation is that they are using will power. It has a very big problem. The imagination is always stronger thay the will. The best method is to use the Paul McKenna CD and book- it works

Eat sensibly during the week and allow yourself treats at the weekend. As long as you're getting plenty of exercise you shouldn't need to worry.

put a photo of yourself that you really hate (we all have them!) on the fridge or cupboard that you have bad things.

or when you have a craving take all your clothes off and stand in front of the mirror - the cravings go strangely quickly!

or dont buy the bad stuff - or at least only buy one chocolate bar rather than a multipack.

or if you fancy chocolate buy some options hot chocolate, its only 40cals and once you have had it your chocolate craving usually goes!

good luck
