We are giving my puppy her first bath today, any tips? I also heard that to make it easier to brush the dog after the bath, you should use detangler. Is human detangler safe to use on dogs? We are using dog shampoo though.

You should use one suit to your dog hair type. short, long thick or thin
Make sure water warm maybe a treat would be good so she enjoy the bath more and remember it as a good experience.
I not sure if a human one is good for dogs or not sometimes it just marketing and sometimes they do need a different one.
A baby detangler should be chemical free

Just use the cheapest human conditioner you can find, Suave, White Rain, or something like that. That's what our vet told us. Try to make it a game or some kind of fun for the animal, if you make it a good experience it will be easier the rest of its life to get it to take a bath. Our dog jumps in the shower with us even if we are not planning on giving her a bath sometimes.
