If you can't find happiness, pleasure or see beauty in this life, do you really believe you can be happy in heaven? Perhaps this life is one of your tests? Actually, that is how it is, isn't it?

I was motivated to ask this question because of a previous question that I recently responded to about how this life is better than Heaven. Most people that said they wanted to go to Heaven listed all the yucky things about this world - things that don't even effect their lives anyway. Why can't they see the good and the beauty?

It's easy to believe in something happy and beautiful when life fails to deliver on the goods.
One of the best parts about being human is the ability to dream of better things. How much greater would the world be if the religious used their dreams to improve the planet, instead of placing all hope on heaven?

Or are you talking about people who are so heavenly minded that they forgot what living is? I agree with you, happiness in heaven starts with life on earth, after all, it is how we live here on earth that determines if we make it to heaven or not

Believers of God and his teachings are eager people to go to Heaven to live happily ever with God our creature. We want to have eternal life as this was the promise of God to his creatures. So we are not bad people and we do good in everything in order to obey the law of God.

the worst are the Rapture nuts; I sometimes suspect they would actively sabotage human relations and spread strife and hate just so they could get to their Jeebus earlier.
As I often remark, if I have to share heaven with that lot, I'd rather go to hell.

Yeah...if a person treasures anything in their heart on earth they can't find it in heaven...then they're just miserable. A smoker will be completely miserable that he can't find any cigerettes in heaven is one example hehe.

because they are fed up with the non-believers asking for proof. If that's the case, maybe they should keep their beliefs to themselves instead of trying to "spread the word"
And it isn't that they are wierd, we just need to stop with the name calling and learn to respect their beliefs as much as they should learn to respect other "rival" beliefs as well as the non-believers
