if I do not have a car during the weekend I will ask my friends to give me a ride to the place that we both interested to do, go watch movies, go shopping malls, go to the gym to workout and play any types of sports.

Take my daughter swimming or to the park. Or catch the bus in to town. I joined the library with her a few weeks back so we get to pick some books, and my local library lets the kids do drawing and stuff while you're there so that passes a bit of time.
ELC have a sale on all their craft things, so I spent some money last week buying paint and all sequins and tissue paper and things to make pictures (my daughter is just coming up to 3).
Last weekend my fiance cleared the garden for us, so this weekend we are planting flowers.
I dont drive either and my fiance works away most of the time so its just the two of us, however I do work in the week.

catch up with some housework, do some baking with my son (4 years old), do some gardening...
are u looking for ideas for things to do ? if u don't have a car, then maybe u can go by bus ? or do u have a local park near u ? i've also found that there are some good computer games out there for pre-schoolers. my son likes a game called Zoo Tycoon. we can both sit at the computer and design our own virtual zoo, and take care of the animals. it's a good game that teaches u computer skills, and all about animals and the environment. (i believe there are versions 1, 2 and 3... 1 is good, but the graphics aren't as good as 2. i would recommend Zoo Tycoon 2 as u can actually walk around your virtual zoo, playing the role of a zoo keeper !)

All my days feel the same, every other weekend my man buggers off up to Chelsea to watch football and stays up there until Tuesday night so we don't do much family stuff then. This weekend I'm going shopping with Mum and leaving my 16 month old daughter with her daddy! Hopefully he'll realise how hard it is looking after a small child who has started to constantly whinge all day and give me some recognition I deserve!

Well at the weekend i have to work and my husband cares for the kids he'll take them to the cinema, ice skating or to the local shopping centre and there is always the weekly shop to do (they really hate that) my kids are old enough to be out by themselves playing, If I'm off for the weekend we go a family day out somewhere. We do have a car so don't really need to bother about worrying about catching any buses, I bought a family rail card and we've been to lots of place really cheap by train .

Well my husband's only home at the weekend so he drives us all to the supermarket for the weekly shop. We all try to have some time together but i still have to wash the school uniform, cook etc. I try not to do too much housework though. This weekend i'm going to The Sleeping Beauty ballet at De Montfort Hall with my 9 year old which was a birthday pressie.

I can't drive and depend on my partner, it's my own fault really I've had plenty of time to learn. Weekends are just like any other day except its too busy to go shopping so I usually end up staying in or going round to a family members or neighbour for a quick drink on the night with my partner and daughter. I don't get much 'me' time

Go running, walk with the dog, read books, try a new recipe, phone my family. The weather's warmer now so my kids can't be kept inside for a pirate's ransom! That buys me a whole lotta time!! TGIF!!
Since I'm a SAHM, I have a strict no-work policy on the weekend. No cleaning, laundry, etc. I get weekends too.

I live somewhere where is is really hard to do anything if you dont have a car, And i dont!
So weekends can be long and hard sometimes when the kids are bored and im bored so i take the kids to the park which is near us and let them bring a ball or bikes so at least they feel they have done something,
Kids love to be outside where they can run around.
And it doesnt cost anything.

Lots of things like art projects or going to the park. We just enjoy being together as a family, there doesn't necessarily have to be a continuous supply of planned activities. Parents seem terrified of their kids getting bored these days and try to structure every minute of their day so this can't happen. Some days we just sit on the couch and have a cuddle and a chat and connect with each other as a family. Love and communication should be the most important part of spending time together.
