Two things you need to do as a responsible pet owner: First, get the cats fixed. Second, keep them inside. Set up a litter box in an easily accessible place, not in a closet. By spay/neuter, most of the spraying and aggressive behaviour should stop. However, if you don't clean up the places in the house where they've "marked", they will go back there again, because even if you can't smell it -- they can. To clean them up properly you will need to use an "enzymatic" cleaner such as "Simple Solution" and follow the directions on the container. To make sure you clean all the places they've sprayed, you may need to use a black light one night. The places where the cat has sprayed will glow when the black light shines on them. Another thing you could do is place the cat box near the wall where they've sprayed. You could also confine the kitties to the bathroom with food, water and litter box for a couple of days to give them the hint. However, some cats may "never" get it. Most problems of this sort can be avoided if kittens are "fixed" at about 6 months before they become sexually mature.

The mattress is a place the place he can scratch up the fabric like the clutter container, he's the youngest and he's in all probability feeling under pressure. do away with all the mattress linen and wash it with some vinegar (take the pee scent away - he will repeat pee everywhere he can scent it). positioned a mild coverall on the mattress that's sprayed with physique spray or pepper (which will deter him) and scrub a clutter tray so as that the scent of the different cat disappears (or much extra effectual, get him a sparkling tray) and positioned it in a position he gets to fairly than the different cat. do no longer hit him - it does not paintings. additionally - get the vet to ascertain him - there could be a clinical reason. stable good fortune!

Having them "done" will sort out the spray, although my Boy still tries to mark his territory (but he's sprayless). There should be less fighting, but you may find that if a cat does stray into your cats' territory he will still try to chase it off. Mine does, but he also knows where his home, and favourite food are, so he always comes back.

yes, it will all stop if you get your cat fixed. They recommend spaying or neutering your cat before 6mos old. If your cat is older than that, you should talk to the vet about it first. I think you should do it. I have owned two male adult cats, one fixed, one not, and my fixed one is still alive to tell the tales. I don't know what happened to the other, he just disappeared, but not before spraying his territory and terrorizing the neighborhood.

They are spraying their territory and once they are "done" then this should stop and the fighting and staying out should decrease too. It is also wise to get cats neutered because there are lots of diseases which can be spread by fighting such as feline aids.
