Im a freshmen in highschool and i take algebra 1 am i way behind?

No, I think you are where you should be. Just make sure that you continue and do not try to take other classes to avoid more math. Stay on track and study.

I doubt it. When i was in high school, algebra 1 was the reccomended math class for freshmen..unless like, you somehow got a high school math credit in jr. high..then you started in geometry..primarily it was freshmen-alg 1, sophomore-geometry, junior-pre-calculus, senior-calculus/alg 2..
I actually had to take algebra 1 twice..it was the root of all evil for me. I think youre okay though.
