What other religion has had a better history of spreading tolerance, peace, and love than Christianity?

Christianity is backed up by science and it is the one true way. Christianity teaches people to love the person but hate the sin.

Don't you agree?

i would honestly say that the only reason people would say that Christianity is the so called best religion for the fear of persecution. Christianity has not spread tolerance or peace or love...the religion as a whole strives to convert anyone who does not share the same beliefs. yes records show that Christianity is the widest spread religion, but that is only because other religions tend to be more conservative as to broadcasting their beliefs to others. and as to your statement that Christianity is backed by science...please show the proof of this...Christianity is based on creationism--the belief that 1 god created the earth and all of its occupants. while science is based on evolution and adaptation.

yea......tolerance, peace, and love....about that...You DO know that there are more people killed in the name of God than anything else right, and that includes the holocaust. Hitler has NOTHING on the death toll of those in the name of God. And Hitler is regarded as the most evil person alive.

About the science part, Scientology =/= science nor Christianity.
Christianity has taught me that whomever is vehemently against gays, is a gay person. At least for those who are in the world of politics.

Best religion, no, best spiritual relationship, yes. What man has done in God's name is abhorrent, I will agree. God never ordained such things as the crusades, or the Spanish inquisition. These are all things that man did, believing that he was about God's business. Man was not, and such things as I have named and others should never have happened. If God had wanted the places in Palestine, or more accurately, Israel, remembered and available as places of worship and memorial, I assure all that they would be. God wants man to worship just Him, and not some place on this third rock from the sun.

First, Christianity is not a religion, its a way of life. Denominations are religions. All we know about Christ is love, forgiveness and salvation, that's why Christianity (meaning gathering of people who follow Christs teaching, thought paterns and lifestyle) is the best way to God, although Christians are generally represented in denominations for political purposes.

Buddhism has a better 'record', I would say.

And if Christianity is backed by science, you wouldn't mind hotlinking the scientific journals that prove it, right?
