Coughing up thick yellow mucus with hard flakes of mucus...why is the mucus hard?What did I come down with ?

It's in my throat..how did the flakes get hard?

Are the flakes white? And smell really nasty? If thats the case it could be called tonsil stones, never heard of them till recently but saw an article by Dr. Gott in the local paper and read about them, he said they are usually harmless and their are fluids to gargle with that can get rid of them.

probably coming up with pnemonia and the mucus is probably drying up in your throat area, you should get a check up, and some poeple are getting TB so you should get a check up for your cough.
