There is a really great passage in the book 'Only Begotten Daugher' by James Morrow. In this book God's daughter goes searching for her brother Jesus. She finds him in Hell, giving sips of water to the condemned. She asks him, 'What do you think of Christianity?' He has no idea what she's talking about. He's been busy since his death administering to those who need him the most.
James Morrow is a really wonderful writer on topics such as these. 'Only Begotten Daughter' is a classic. 'The Last Witchfinder' is his most recent book, and is a terrific, epic read.

God doesn't hate homosexuals he doesnt hate any of his children. Jesus preached tolerance and acceptance. Whether some christians choose to interpret his teachings incorrectly is beside the point. Whether chrisitanity as a whole is what jesus intended im not sure. All i know is that i trust my heart and it tells me that its whats best for me. Believe what you want. All i know is that im sure of myself and know what im supposed to be doing while you are still pondering why the world is such a crappy place.
Beside what have i got to lose if there is no god then it didn't hurt to believe. If your wrong well sucks 4 u

No. He wasn't a conservative, look who he hung out with 2000 years ago! He was an activist, bordering on anarchism. He strived for the rights of the common man and gave them a voice - he represented the working class, lower class and misfits. If he were around today, he would be hanging with the hardcore punks, skinheads, environmental warriors, and anyone anti establishment - including organised religions!

I'm not a Christian - but I find it very unlikely that present-day Christianity is what Jesus had in mind.

No I am sure he would not. men have twisted his massage to suit them selfs . that is why we need to go back to the bible and follow only his words. some preachers still follow the bible but we must be careful who we follow and read the bible ourselfs.
