It could be a sign of indirection. You already know. If you are avoiding adulthood or engagement in any one thing that could be a problem. If you are throwing yourself into each of changing goals you won't be cause for anyones concern.

No. Indirection is when you have no goal or direction in
life. It sounds like you are exploring the opportunities and
possibilities life has to offer. To set goals and ambitions
is good...but when we first start exploring them, we need
to be flexible enough and mature enough to recognize
when goals and directions need to be changed.

The only thing I would agree with your parents on is that
setting a goal one week, then changing directions the
next week, then again the next week, does indicate a
bit of indirection. But I don't read your question that way.

Even adults, once they have set goals for themselves, later
change direction and shoot for a new ambition every once
in a while. That is not indecision. That is healthy.

Good luck.

This is the best time in your life where it's easy to change the direction of your life and possible future. Your not tied down to a job. Married or a parent. I can't think of any other point in life where change has less negative consequences. Don't be angry with your parents. They just want you to succeed in life. They are not your enemy. As a parent I would venture to say that your parents love and cherish you. Besides, it's our(parents)job to be overprotective and have a say in the early part of your life.,LOL. Good luck. Have fun and be safe.

It is the process of self-identity. If prior goals or directions did or do not appear to be working for you, or do not fulfill you any more, or are no longer something you can be passionate about, then changing those goals and directions are necessary.

Your choices must be discerning and with as much information as possible.

It is a way of life, in this ever changing world, nothing is constant, we should change mind, goal, direction etc. But your parents are afraid of the saying 'a rolling stone gathers no moss'.

yes my friend ....... u r absolutely wrong in my opinion why becoz well change of mind or fluctuating ur path of goal or change of direction is not of going in an indirection. why becoz there are so many people who would change out at regular intervals... well the change is quite common for everyone of us.... but dont loose ur guts. or ambitions......... yah its a good sign of change in attitude or at the time of growth.... come on u should prove that u can do it even though ur mind or goal changes.... still u can reach the destination......... prove it in practical to ur parents.. well there is a potential saint in every sinner....... i dont mean that u r a sinner but everyone will change or do wrong ....... only one who proves that he can do only will succeed in life....... thank u my friend

No! Change will come in and out of your life and it is the choices you make that u will have to live with. You have to do with your life what u want and not anyone else or you'll never b happy.

It is a sign of undecidedness. We all do go through it. Very few of us are 100% certain of all our decisions are the right ones. It's a process of elimination. leave yourself options in your decision making.

change is part of life... to attain your specific goals requires some change... sometimes events take control of you and then you need to find another way...

i've changed a lot in 38 years... some good, some bad, but i've learned about myself and other things through the changes...

It is a sign of reasoning & rethinking things important to you, that is unless you do it alot, then it would be the inability to stick to a decision.
