Saying religion is a disease is just as bad as saying homosexuality or happiness is a disease.
Religion is essential to the growth of humans. While I myself do not believe in organized religion, I believe that your beliefs are essential. If you do not have something to believe in(myth, religion, science) you have nothing to work for. Religion was meant to strive to be accepting, moral, and overall better. If a morality is a disease, then religion is.
I am accepting of religion, but not of those that try to oppress those that are not of the same religion, even so I do not believe that those people are diseased just because they think differently, I just hope they will someday accept others for who they are.
As someone else said, you do not need religion to believe in god. My mom and sisters have that belief. They pray yet they do not believe in organized religion.
Remember, Christians, before you say anything hateful to him or anyone, in the bible, I believe it says "Judge not lest ye be judged" I had to go to church as a child, and I know that the bible teaches tolerance and acceptance, not judgment based on race, sexuality, gender, or anything else.

why do we need a cure for religion? The question is why do all the people of this here world, uniti as one religion, since they are all basically praying to the same god, but now they have different believes, this is not what he or christ would of wanted. There should only be on religion, and that is the one Christ told us all about, everyone is praying to the same god, and his son, so why do we have to fight about religion in the first place, and religion does not need a cure, unless you are talking about what i have written here. But it is really not a cure, just the truth.
