Never, and I mean NEVER put anyone on a pedestal!!
Love, respect, care for, cherish and adore the person you are in a relationship with, YES.
Revere, honor, and strive for those in your life whom you care about, YES!
The problems with putting someone on a pedestal is that you will eventually become disappointed in them. At some point they won't live up to the expectations you have placed upon them...and you will feel crushed by the weight of it.
Even worse...when the person you have placed up there on the pedestal decides to jump off simply because they don't think you see them for who they are, care for them how they hoped to be cared for, or treat them as they really wish to be treated.

Because if you put them on a pedestal, they are bound to fall off eventually. That goes for men and women. You have to remember that no matter how much you love someone, that doesnt make them perfect. At some point, they are bound to hurt or dissapoint you. You have to remember that they are your equal, and they are human, and deserve forgiveness. A woman is not a sinless diety. If you expect too much from her, you will only be greatly hurt when she falls off that pedestal. Keep her by your side, and forgive EACHOTHER.
