I was in the same predicament as you just last week. One of my coworkers formerly owned a custom car audio storefront and turned me onto the Infinity Kappa 6.5" component set. I've had the kicker high-end components and the pioneer components, but they don't come close to the level of the Infinity Kappa set. They put out high's that will make your ears bleed, plus enough mid bass to go around all while keeping a clean crisp sound.

Excellent sound quality even at extreme volume levels. A must have if you're looking for components to perfectly balance your audio set-up. I ordered them off amazon and got them for half the list price.

if your only spending a hundred bucks your buying junk anyway, jl audio components even for the tr series are more then twice that. If your looking to spend about 500 bucks, go with the jl audio xr series. the mb quarts unless you buy used ones will cost about a grand, if you wanna be big dog use the focal utopia's.... the best things Ive ever heard with only a 6,000 dollar price tag. the key to any components, to make them sound their best is to use a quality amplifier and have a professional tune it for you

I'm very happy with my morels. The tweeters hold good quality at hight volume without sounding tinny. And the mid ranges take what ever I throw at them so far. Head some place and check out the diferent brands see what catches your ear. The high end components are all very good and it comees down to personal preference
