The vicodin is more than likely what is keeping you awake try some warm milk I know it sounds like a dumb idea but it will help counteract the stimulants in the vicodin. Try a warm compress on your neck to help relieve the pain use a heating pad if you have one. If not get a wash cloth and wet it then heat it in the microwave for about a minute (microwaves vary so you may need to adjust the time) put it in a plastic bag and wrap it in a small dry towel like a kitchen towel and place it on you pillow when you lay down where it will come in contact with the area that hurts. You can reheat the washcloth as needed.

Try some OTC sleep aids. But aside from getting insurance there's not much you can do.

Try using a tennis ball, lay on your back or side, and put the tennis ball where it hurts, and let your body weight do the rest. It's something called localized relaxation.

Exercises! When is the last time that you have really moved your body consistently? It makes a difference!! Try it, and it will help you sleep. If you are consistently exercising or masturbating and still not able to sleep, then I am stumped!

Sleeping disorders (insomia, sleepwalking or nightmares)may be rooted in some emotional or psychological problems. Hypnosis (hypnotherapy) has been known to provide some degree of relief. Try www.hypnosis-hk.com
