I recently bought my first DVD recorder and found out that if I erased the contents of a RW disk that I could record over it. Of course in the directions it tells me everything except how to erase contents recorded, or I'm just blind and don't see it! I know that every machine is different but can anyone tell me any general rules. I don't see anything that says delete, I do have a clear button and an edit button if that is of any help! I don't even know if it has to be on to be erased!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You can do it as you were doing for a CD-RW.

just put your DVD-RW in the ROM and open my computer. Just select the drive option (only select it, do not open it), on the left hand side of your window u will see some options, in those options there will an option of erasing, click on that option.

What software are you using? That is the big question. In Nero and Roxio, they have an erase cmmand, and I think that even XP has an erase on right click.

No, you erase them on your computer, if you have a DVD-RW drive.
