until then
(lyrics)

my heart can sing, when i pause to remember
a heartache here is but a stepping stone
along a trail, that's winding always upward
this troubled world, is not my final home

chorus
but until then, my heart will go on singing
until then, with joy I'll carry on
until the day, my eyes behold his coming
until the day, God calls me home

the days we live, seem short in there duration
oh how the years, go swiftly passing by
but things not seen, are made of God eternal
His joy, His peace, His spirit, they are mine!

(repeat chorus, drawing out last line)

EDIT: I wish I could sing it to you. It's the most beautiful song I've ever heard. I sang it on a cruise ship for their "talent show", all volunteers from people on the cruise.

A good one in my experience is "Were You There". The first three verses are centered around the Crucifixion and the laying of Jesus into the tomb. The final verse, which you could possibly sing after Jesus' Resurrection piece, is about about when he raised up from the dead. It is slow, sad, and has a feel of mourning to it.

Only Jews people can answer you. They are the one who celebrates "Easter" (which is translated in the bible as "Passover"). But if you happen to be a Jew, then I guess you should be more worried on "what to prepare on that eve - like the bitter herbs, and spices, one year old lamb and of course - unleavened bread.

God bless you...

Why not try this.. Easter was stolen from the Pagans, it was originally the Festival of Eostra, she was the Goddess of Spring and Fertility, (chorus).. So we stole another ritual from the Pagan's and called it our own, like we stole Christmas... It's really quite catchy if you sing it a few times and it is also dead-set FACT....... Love and Light.. )O(

I would recomend "In Christ Alone" It goes like this.

In Christ alone my hope is found. He is my light, my strength, my song. This conerstone, this solid ground. Firm through the fiercest drought and storm. What heights of love, what depths of peace. When fears are stilled, when strivings cease. My comforter, my all in all. Here in the love of Christ I stand.

In Christ alone who took on flesh. Fullness of God in helpless babe. This gift of love and righteousness. Scorned by the ones he came to save. Till on that cross as Jesus died. The wrath of God was satisfied. For every sin on him was laid. Here in the death of Christ I live.

There in the ground his body lay. Light of the world by darkness slain. Then bursting forth in glorious day. Up from the grave he rose again. And as he stands in victory. Sins curse has lost its grip on me. For I am his and he is mine. Bought with the precious blood of Christ..

No guilt in life. No fear in death. This is the power of Christ in me. From life's first cry to final breath. Jesus commands my destiny. No power of hell, no scheme of man. Can ever pluck me from his hand. Till he returns or calls me home. Here in the power of Christ I'll stand.
