My question is WHY would they have Cod in them? It doesn't say how much or why and it's not part of the regular ingredient list or the list of supplements.

The soy part doesn't bother me though I don't know why that's in there either but I am a vegetarian and have been since birth. I've never eaten meat, fish or chicken and doubt I ever will. Fish is disgusting to me and the smell makes me gag. I can't imagine how this ingredient could be beneficial to me but I know it can't hurt me either.

I just want to know why the heck it's in there. I went onto Wal-Mart.com and there is no link to ask this type of question so I hope you can help.

As I said it is not listed as one of the supplements with a daily value or anything and this vitamin doesn't have Omega-3. I take Flaxseed Oil for that.

The answer that says it is probably the source of the zinc makes sense though they should note that so people like me won't freak out, lol. I also take extra zinc (it's good for your hair I hear) so I should check that to see if it has fish in it.

Thanks :)

Rage fan, you say there is no taste with the fish oil caps? What about as or after they dissolve? I would puke my guts out if I could taste it later. I take cinnamon capsules and I can taste those later... I know I need more Omega 3 but I figure the Flaxseed Oil is just as good a source, right?

Well, I'm sure it's in there because Fish contains Omega-3 fatty acids, and are one of the best sources for good fats on earth. I take Salmon Oil soft gels every day (there is zero taste).

The benefits include increased heart health and brain development and function. I'd say that those two things are pretty important.

Cod is used in vitamins for a lot of things, but it's likely used there for Omega-3 fatty acids. Cod actually is probably the single best source for these. If you want to really research it, look up cod liver oil, which will tell you the benefits of having it.

Omega-3 fatty acids. It is also used as a medium for some fat soluble vitamins like E & A

The Cod is good for you as are fish oils. But the soy may not be so beneficial.
