Sex education to teenagers is the need of the hour. As a result of lack of knowledge on sex, many teenagers indulge in pre-marital sex, which at many a times result in unwanted pregnancy and abortion (or worst still, the boy leaves the teenage girl and not claiming the responsibility for the child). It should be noted that half knowledge is dangerous. The teenagers should be properly educated on sex whereby they will realize the responsibility and we will have a healthy and thoughtful human race.

Fact is sex education does not teach how to have sex, teens naturally know that and will have sex with or without sex ed. It's purpose is to provide info so teens may be aware of protection and other options available before making their decision. Only someone ignorant would think withholding info from young people is a right to do.

Why shouldn't it be?If we can teach our kids about war, religion, and other things that seem to affect our world why not sexual awareness? At least there's no negativity or aggression coming from it.If you ask me they need to teach it in 6th grade pre-teen.When teenagers get older they are more aware and become curious.Maybe if we showed them movies on s.t.d.'s.aids,and teenage pregnancy it would give them a whole other out look of the "real world".Face it we don't want our children growing up to fast but we also want them to be strong,productive,well-educated citizens of tomorrow.

sex education should be started in primary school
too many young kids are getting pregnant these day because they did not have the education
and condoms should be free in the school
and dont say that this would promote sex ,because it does not
all boys buy condoms hoping to get laid
but it is not the condoms that decide this, its is the girl
and if she had sex education she would be more likely to say no anyway.
these are proven facts .many statistics on school age pregnacies
and it is the uneducated ones who get in to trouble the most
all over the world.

Of course it should! They need to be aware of the risks that are involved with sex. 99% of teenagers are having sex anyway, so why not educate them on protecting them self's and others.

If parents did a better job at educating their kids on sex the school system wouldnt have to do it. You se kids as younge as 13 getting pregnant and having sex. So parnets ned to step up if they dont like the school doing it, anyway they need to talk to them about it period!!!
If you dont want your child taught, inform the school and they will remove your child from the class while it is taught

Actually you're right, it should start by being taught in the home when the children are young...taught about touches, about human anatomy...How to become aware of our bodies so we don't have to ask such questions like "How do I know I'm ovulating"...How to tell the difference between the onset of a period and pregnancy symptoms.
