She has like severe sleepy spells sometimes she looses consiousness! Vets are stumpted! anyone have any ideas?

we have had two different opinons and have an appiontment at a third
they have tested her liver and her heart.

thank you all!
I Have an appointment with a neurologist next week but our regular vet said she didnt think it was seizures and they have ruled out hypoglycemia

Sounds like focal seizures to me. She needs an MRI or CAT scan. I would call a veterinary college like UT or A &M and ask or take her to one and see if they can figure it out. I've never seen a dog with Narcolepsy, but it could happen I guess. Good luck

It sounds like a neurological problem but I can't be sure. I strongly recommend taking the puppy to a different vet or even a hospital in your area. That is beyond NOT normal and should not be happening. She may have injured her spine somehow or a head injury or it may be some disease like humans have..narcolepsy. Get a second opinion as soon as you can. Good luck! DOGS RULE!!

my dog has a similar problem.Ask your vet if she could be hypoglycemic or epileptic. They both have to do with blood sugar levels and your dog could be at the stage mine is at.(Having seizers) hope this helps.

poor baby i feel for her. take her to another vet....she's got to have something..maybe her blood pressure....or head issues...this is not normal, get second third opinion
