divination is the practice of predicting the future through various means, like crystal balls, palm reading, tarot, tea leaves, dowsing rods, pendulums, and some old wives tales. a lot of christians look down on it because it is often associated with witch craft. you can find many books about it in larger book stores like barnes and noble. there are a number of unbiased websites, try looking by typing in divination rather than diviner.
