and tell us that SHE has a temperature and HER face is swollen?
you MAY be distraught by confusing the gender of you child?

Well I am not sure how to respond here, is your son a girl? Or do you have a daughter that is turning into a boy from the face inside out?
Most likely an allergic reaction to something. Can he or she talk at all or is his/ her throat swollen shut also? If that's the case you need to get your son/daughter to a Doctor as soon as possible. Where on the boy is the rash?
Have you looked at WebMD?

With swelling + temp + sore throat, there is a significant bacterial infection. Need an ani-bac throat lozenge & a good gargle, then you must decide if you want you child to have an anti-bacterial course or try & get the body to fight it off & build up the immune system. The hassel with the latter, is that you need to be on guard that the infection does not spread viz. to chest or worse the heart muscle. Whatyever you doo keep her wrapped up in bed & give her some nourishing (& mushroom etc.to taste good)chicken soup -made, not from a packet!

Visit a doctor quickly so they can be checked out. It sounds like your son may have scarlet fever. If it is then the infection is contagious and the bacteria can be spread by sneezing and coughing, or if caused by a skin infection, by direct contact with the skin. Avoidance of infection is difficult if a member of the household has the disease. Infected children should be kept at home and all eating and drinking utensils isolated from those of other family members. Personal hygiene is essential. Do you have both a son and daughter infected? Don't worry just get him/her/them to the doctor.

It appears that he /she has the sign of measles. You can rule out allergic reaction because high temperature is not so common in this.
A patient experiencing measles usually experience rashes all over its body, it starts from the trunk and spread to different part of the body. rashes can spread in the upper respiratory too that is why your son have sore throat.
But you need to see a doctor, if high fever persist go to your nearest A and E department in your local hospital.

nobody on the internet can diagnose whats going on, those are common symptoms a severe allergic reaction, strep throat or tonsilitis but could be other things, if it just started, go to the ER or doctor- for the other post about tylenol & motrin, never ever mix any pain meds with eachother or something else unless a doctor tells u to and explains why (u can overdose and have serious problems)

Call NHS direct, they are very helpful and will advise. I would suggest cool sponging to keep temperature down in the meantime. If you are really worried call an ambulance, they do not recommend it but your childs health is what is important, Good Luck and I hope all will be well soon.

it is probably roseola. my son had it a couple of years ago and it freaked me out. is starts with a sore throat and then a fever and then a rash on the trunk of the body. is very common in young children. keep the fever under control with tylenol and/or motrin. if it is hard to break your can alternate meds every 3 hours(ex-12:00 motrin, 3:00 tylenol, 6:00 motrin, 9:00 tylenol). i would get him to the doc to confirm, but i wouldn't worry. go to web.md if you want more info. and good luck.

Take your child to a doctor or other medical help as soon as you can. Try to reduce your child's temperature if possible. Remove clothes, wash down with a damp towel, keep out of draughts. Good luck.

URGENT URGENT
Get this child to the hospital right away. You cannot afford to wait. He is having a reaction to something. If you have any anti histamine in the house give it to him NOW then set off. Crush the tablet if necessary.
