My shitzu has mucus in her poop is this something that is deadly and what does it meen or what could have caused it. She has been eating fine and playing. She isn't listless. Is there a vet in here that could tell me what this meens, and if she will get over it!!!

It's quite possible your dog has colitis. I've had two different dogs with mucus in their stool and that's what it was. I believe it's caused by some sort of irritation in the intestines. The only way to make sure is bring a stool sample in to your vet.

hi, depend when it happened, and for how long ? normally after her injections her stomach will release some mucus. Other than that, check her diet, make sure she eats nothing beside her pellets(dry) and keep an eye on her, if it continue take her to a vet.
