I am meeting five other ladies for lunch in Orlando in a few weeks. It will be an 11am Saturday meeting, so either brunch or lunch will work. Looking for something that is unique, quiet, and charming. Not a hamburger joint or diner, but something with a more bistro feel. I was thinking something like Crispers, only with sit-down menus. Something with outside seating is preferable, but doesn't really matter. Please suggest fitting restaurants, your help is much appreciated.

White Wolf Cafe on Orange Ave in the antique district. You can check them out at www.whitewolfcafe.com. They are a bistro style restaurant with a wine bar that is also an antique dealer, so the setting is a bistro where the inside is covered in antique art, books, instruments, and various other items of interest. They also have outside seating with live ferns and other plants to make a pleasant atmosphere. I've been there several times and always have a good time. I do allot of traveling and dining at unique places is kinda a hobby of mine. They're also rated in the Zagat Survey. Check out their web site. They're truly one of the best non-chain restaurants in Orlando.

There is a restaurant called Tanqueray's Bar & Grille
that is downtown Orlando in the basement of the Citrus Bank building at the corner of Pine Street and Orange Avenue. There is a band called Soul Cactus that plays there on weekends. The co-owner, Melinda works as bartender. She has a way of making everyone very comfortable.

Here's the address:
100 S Orange Ave
Orlando, FL 32801

(407) 649-8540

If you're into Greek food there's The Athenian in Winter Park on Orange Avenue near Florida Hospital.

Hello.
i was thinking Panera Bread but it is sort of a twin of Crispers.
well.. lots of restaurants have places to eat outside.
and im thinking u want somewhere casual i guess..
soo..hmmm..im thinking maybe Fusion. [if u and your friends like Japanese.] it's awesome there. but there is no palce to eat outside. great food. and a little computer there so u can go on the internet. and it's in the UCF [university of central florida] area so some college ppl go there. and there is an area where u can sit on a booth with a pillow u sit on, and u take your shoes off. but they are little tables. so maybe not Fusion.

HMM...or u can go to this wonderful cafe called Mimi's Cafe. it's so good that u have to wait a while to be seated SOMETIMES. :/ srry. but i think u can reserve. great food. u get great bread. a variety to choose from. like 1-3 flavors i think. and u can get breakfast 24/7 im pretty sure. GOOD LUCK!

This is a neat place...downtown Orlando. It is called Brooklyn Pizza and has some awesome pizza and pasta along with a really cool atmosphere. All kinds of famous people come here and eat and leave their autograph on the wall. I really like it...looks just like an old NY pizzaria.

Hue, in Thorton Park, is worth considering. It's certainly unique. There is also outdoor seating. The food is outstanding and it's surrounded by interesting shops.
