Why do atheist care?

Ive seen that this has been asked before but i don't really care.

Why do athiest care what i believe in. I mean why do they post on here about everything wrong with the bible and why it's fake. Its not like anybodys gonna change there whole belief systen from reading a stupid post on Y answers. Why do you guys even try?

what does atheism have to do with bush?

Ive seen it but i never bothered to read it simply because i wanted to know what people would say when i did. Do you see any insults i asked a genuine question.

Beaverscantalk: There is a difference between the bible and something posted on the web. What do you take as more credible about time and space something in one of steven hawkings books or something on a website. It could be disproved but does that mean people are gonna assume that its not true?

I don't know either. It's sort of hard to understand. It's not like they are trying to prevent a person from going to hell. Hell, a place they don't believe in. They aren't trying to help a person have faith and get to Heaven. Heaven, a place they don't believe in. I don't think they get brownie points from the great Atheist or Darwin in the sky for doing certain things. Could one of the reasons be they just want to aggravate? Could another reason be that they feel they will come out looking like they are superior, more intelligent, and just all around better people than Christians? Instead of trying to raise money for hospitals (most hospitals have a Catholic or Christian name associated with it) Instead of trying to raise money for Christian charities (food for the hungry, evangelism, glasses for the needy, soup kitchens, shelter centers, etc.) Maybe they will try to raise money for all the fine Atheist causes. Funny..I can't think of any. Is there a Darwin Memorial Hospital? Atheist feed the children fund drive? No, I guess not.

Know one will change from reading one bulletin. But the little things all add up into change everyone knows that. No atheist just wakes up one day and stops believing. It's a very slow process I went through. I went from Jesus camp to insulting Christians lol Ironic. We care because we want to open your mind to the idiocy of religion. Which will in the end better are academic and social community and culture overtime. I find your question interesting cause people change there whole life when reading the bible. Why can’t they change the beliefs by reading other peoples opinions?

How do you know its not changing anyone's perspectives? Just because it may not change yours does not mean you should exaggerate. Atheists are simply trying to open the minds of Christians and trying to get them to answer for their own religion. Most of the time, its a good ole heated debate, which is fun.....but other times, they can be a bit brutal and slam the religion completely. Sad to say, most christians don't even read their own bible. A lot of them don't know what's in certain scriptures. Atheists are making sure that those people know.....and if they do, its preferable that they answer for it.
If I hadn't been shown all the contradictions, mistakes, and just plain dumb things in the bible, I wouldn't have become an atheist. So please don't presume to say that it does not change minds.

Atheists are out to infect the world. They want to spread their skepticism, cynicism, ignorance and for some it is just plain cool to say they are an atheist. They have nothing to defend since they believe in nothing and have fun with people defending what they believe. It is kind of the easy side of the fence. They would make great politicians on the debate trail. Telling everybody what is wrong with this and that but not saying what is right or providing any truth or solutions.

i take it you are basically stating that you would like atheists to stop telling you that what you believe in is wrong. if this truly bothers you that please take a step back as see how christians as a whole treat other peoples religious beliefs or chioce to not have a religious belief. every day my friend's mother states that she will convert me to christianity "the 1 true religion" tells me that my child became sick because i am not christian and that was god's way of punishing me. what you should have thought about before posting this is how do i treat others based on their belief(s)? and if you can truthfully say that you do not actively offend someone because of his/her belief(s) i can say that you have just lied. most christians do so with out knowing that they really have offended someone because a lot of people are not as open about their belief(s) for the fear of persecution.

Part of it is for the same reason your asking this question. You admitted yourself that you have seen this question asked before. So why are you posting it ? To harass Atheists that's why. Because you resent them. And that's part of the reason we are here. To harass theists because we resent them.
The other reason is because there are not only people who believe in God here, but also agnostics. Who haven't really decided yet. Furthermore, no we don't believe that JUST posting on Yahoo is going to change anyone's mind. But this in combination with other influences will have the effect of furthering Atheism.

I don't really care what anyone believes so long as it doesn't get in my way. What bothers me is when government officials are unable to think like secular people and make laws and such based on their faith rather than whats best for everyone.

Because they think that you are being silly. Just what you probably think of them. Remember: everyone --no matter their belief-- thinks they are right, and that all those who think differently need to be saved from their ignorance. Most religious people --from ANY religion-- as well as atheists have the same mental framework.

faith is exciting to a pair human beings. lots of those human beings attempt to learn greater approximately their faith and others. lots of those human beings replace into atheists. that would not recommend they abruptly get bored in this form of desirable subject count. Plus what a super kind of the different atheists have suggested, too.

Isn't it odd how a lot of these people who are atheist hate Bush? Hmm.... they don't know why they hate him. they just agree with everyone else and don't know that Bush is trying to make this country like it was when it was created into existance. Why do you think this nation "Under God" has lasted like it was? It's the youngest and strongest. I think it's been working so well Under God, why change it? And when we decide we want to change it to Under whatever else, it starts to go down...... hmm.... coinceedink? I think not!
