Make sure that your monitor settings are correct. Your monitor may just be cutting off the bottom of the screen. You can also "drag and drop" the lower limits of your graphic screen. I usually keep mine so that I can see 4 lines of text. Try pressing the F2 key to see your text screen to see if the command prompt is actually there.

Hi there.

Odd, you didn't mention what version of AutoCAD you're using. But that doesn't matter as all default installation of AutoCAD have command line opened by default.

Typing "c" then a space or ENTER will automatically prompt you to create a circle etc and so on.

There's no option to really hide or unhide the command line.

The only option is to apply the Service Pack 1 or higher from Autodesk's website.

Choose the verions you have and download/apply the updates.

Hope this work

If you are using either Autocad 2006 or 2007, to display the command line you need to press CRTL+9 or from the tools menu choose "Command Line". With earlier versions I don't think this toggle was a option - although you could try it.

I hope this help

Isn't the hotkey c or C,
I use Solidworks myself, you should try it. a lot of Autocad users are switching.
