This guy i work with that i sorta have a crush on said to me that he has never asked a girl out before....also was talking about a past gf that cheated on him. And that he was only in 1 relationship that was serious enough for marriage. Prior to this i have been getting hints that he likes me back. So i just wonder if this is a hint that he wants me to ask him out?? Or am i just seeing something thats not there because i like him. Would a guy normally talk about past gf's if he likes a girl??
(btw i am 27 and he is 29.....so we aren't teenagers or anything)

I think if you like him then why not ask him out. The most you will get is a no and if the guy is nice then he will be flattered even if he says no and if he is not nice then you will find out the real facts about him right? Go with the gut instinct.
If you are nervous about asking him then I suggest that you ask him out in a round about way. Get some friends together and go out and make sure he is invited. This way neither of you are put on the spot and maybe you two can find time to talk more and find out if that is in both your interests.

Jill, so many companies today do not allow co-workers to date. Are you sure you want to %^$^ where you eat?(sotospeak). Anyway, I sayforget him. There is something wrong with a 29 year old man who is afraid to ask a girl out. A guy would normally talk about past gf's if he liked a girl. But it is just plain weird that a 29 year old man would not ask a girl out. I just have a gut level feeling that you should not get involved with this guy - sorry -k-

i guess this guy does not seem to be a shy type kind of guy because they way he talkss about his past gf and so forth, so if you like him just give him a little hint and if he really like you he will ask you out and you don't have to be aggressive in this situations. regarding your questions i think you answered it already that you are just seeing things because you like him and he is confiding to you,...let him start things up not unless you are that aggressive and are really sure that he will say yes and you will not just be used which a lot of guys do just to score(if you know what i mean)

Personally, I think that he's interested.
You could either bluntly ask him out, such as...
"-Enter Name Here-, would you like to go to dinner with me Friday night?"
Or, if you're nervous, and don't want to be rejected, you could first invite him to a group activity, such as...
"-Enter Name Here-, some friends and I are going to see -enter movie name here- Saturday night. Would you like to come?"
If you choose the second option, it could be harder to tell if he's really interested in you.
Well, I hope that helped! -Maggie

I say take a shot, who knows he might be too shy or just not self confident to take that step. ask your self "How bad do you want it?"
As I am reading this I was listening to a song by Tim McGraw, How bad do you want it. I think it applies, to the advice I would give anyway.

As a 28 year old guy I can say... GO FOR IT.
The older we men get the harder it becomes for us to swallow our pride and face rejection. I know that's bass ackwards, but unfortunately it's true.
Although BEWARE!!!
Relationships at work are almost ALWAYS bad news.

Perhaps he is afraid of you rejecting him. Well go on, if you are keen to go further than your usual friendship. Go out on a date. Ask him out for a movie and then chill somewhere to talk over things.

Go read He's just not that into you...and you can figure it out yourself. I just read that book today. If a guy likes you enough, he will ask YOU out.
