I have office 2007 ultimate. it's quite a face lift for MS, but the functions are basically the same. larger selections for cliparts and layouts in Publisher, etc. I like it. I'm a big fan of OpenOffice.org too, which i'm using on my Ubuntu machine. It's nice because it's soooo much like the MS programs, and i dont have problem opening .doc's or .xls's, and neither do the people i send them to.

someone has already provided you with the link to Open workplace. I actually were making use of it fo 4 years and performance had very few compatibility complications in that aspect. I at present have both MS workplace and OO on my gadget and, to be honest, use OO round seventy 5% of the time. issues look rather glitch loose.
