A large agency has said they may not pay me because
my timecard isn't signed by the right person. The client
was a large computer hardware manufacturer and there
were three IT techs on site--all having equal authority. They
can confirm the accuracy of my timecard; but the agency has
said they may not pay me without a certain signature on my
timecard and don't seem willing to follow up and confirm that
my timecard is correct. What can I do to get paid on time?

Where you told who had to sign the time card from the start? If so, get them to sign the timecard. If that doesn't work, it is going to be a civil matter. Get an attorney to write a letter to the temp agency stating he will pursue it if restitution isn't made. That will probably work.

I think the best thing you can do at this point, is to take the company to court. I believe it would be a civil court....not too sure though. Start your case on the basis that you believe you have been cheated out of time, resources, and phsyical labor. The down side to this is you will have to hire an attorney, and they cost money. Also it will make your case stronger if you can talk to some co-workers and see if they have been treated the same way, and start a petition or something like that.

Good luck...

My best guess would have to be to suggest that you speak with your supervisor.

However, if things get out of hand, contact a local business regulator such as the Better Business Beaureu, they may have good suggestions on how to get this done within your local laws and infrastructure.

You may look into getting the card signed by the proper person as well. There are many solutions to this problem.

regrettably, as you artwork for a temp employer & were in person-friendly words entering the pastime as a temp there is no longer something everybody can do - you should attempt putting rigidity on your employer to stump up something for dropping a even as & struggling with you from pursuing different strains of work yet i don't believe of they're going to flow for it. the straightforward actuality of the count number is that maximum budgets are exhausted with assistance from now - even as a temp is employed, a organisation doesn't pay the speed in step with hour that you receive, additionally they pay a fee to the employer, in lots of circumstances it they are oftentimes paying your cost & the an same sum to the employer, in the journey that they could get someone more cost-effective then they're going to flow for it. Your employer likely opt for now to not rock the boat because they have a huge settlement with this organisation, if the customer has got here across a more cost-effective source of labour then the employer's spotlight will be on protecting the jobs that are there & protecting the customer sweet in the shape that destiny artwork will arise. both rigidity your employer to locate you something or signal in to a distinct employer.

Why is this posted in a law enforcement forum? It's not a police matter. You *may* be able to contact the wage and hour division to help you but in all liklihood you will have to take the matter to civil court.

If you were told and were responsible to get your time card signed by a specific person, then you will need to go back and get it signed by the right person,

If not, if they don't pay you properly you sue them in small claims court.
