OUCH!!!! Christians, how can you put so much faith into a book of death...

"And he brought out the people that were in it, and cut them with saws, and with harrows of iron, and with axes..." (I Chronicles 20:3)

"And Israel joined himself unto Baalpeor: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel. And the LORD said unto Moses, 'Take all the heads of the people and hang them up before the LORD against the sun, that the fierce anger of the LORD may be turned away from Israel.'" (Numbers 25:3-4)

"And it came to pass, that at midnight the LORD smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle. And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead." (Exodus 12:29-30)

You really need to read all the Bible to understand and to be a child of Christ with the indwelling Holy Spirit to understand His Word as truth and nothing less. You are taking His Word out of context to try to denounce The Lord who is Love and Lives forever. Talk to a pastor who teaches the literal Bible or go to a christian bookstore - there are tons of good books that explain the Old Testament.

Are you aware that, on this earth, people die? The bible is a history of a nation, along with the inspired word of God. Do people go to war? Die? Kill each other? Yes. That's why in the thousands of years of the history of the nation of Israel...the bible identifies all these things having happened.

Just like in any nation's history.

First of all, you should read the whole bible to come to that conclusion. Sin has brought a lot of pain and suffering to the world and man is responsible for it. God loves his creation but he is also right and just. You can't take verses out of context and make your point. The bible is like a mirror that shows how miserable people are and proves why Jesus came to us and how badly we need Him. I challenge you to get to know Jesus.

because you're taking all of those quotes from the old testament. the old testament shows the wrath of god, and the new testament shows god's never-ending love.
