Not just another sniper question?

i am in the middle of working to get the savage .22 w/ heavy barrell that i want i only have 3 more wks to work (2 hrs after school everyday) and i made my own ghillie suit , and research as much as i can on sniping and studied the history. i am 15 and just want to become a marine sniper. but i understand that the job picks the person not the person picking the job as hathcock once said but i am trying to become the best suited for this job. i stalk deer all year round and hunt every season.i am goin to start shooting competitive with a 4-h team and go to camp perry for CMP smallbore this july. i need to kno wat else i can do 2 become better suited i kno math and science (ballistics) is a big part of being a sniper and i am getting A`s in all those classes if u have any advice thank you very much

The sniper rifle is 7.25 mm. with the majority of shooting at 800+ yards.

Remember that there is a ton of boredom (spending 3 to 7 days hiding behind one bush to maybe fire one shot). That's where people generally fail and drop out of sniper school. The drop outs just can't stand the boredom.

If you want the rush, remember that the M-16A2 has an effective range of 550 meters and you can put a telescopic scope on the rifle. The civilian round is the .223.

sniper - you want to be a sniper - perhaps you should also find out why you have this urge. There are many bad people on earth and perhaps to some degree we must look at things on both sides of a coin. Just thought of wanting to be a sniper sound equal to want to be a human bomb. Are you looking for a bunch of virgins?
